Spokes 2 & 3

5.3 miles + 1.4 miles to start and finish at Explore BoA (Tourist Information).

This walk includes spokes 2 and 3 of the Bradford on Avon Walking Wheel, linked by the outer circle. The spokes are waymarked with blue roundels and the outer circle green.

The walk starts outside The George in Woolley Street following the blue roundels of Spoke 2 and continues North past Woolley Barn Farm (now converted to housing).  Head NW across the fields and a driveway to join the B3109 Corsham Road where you turn right and then right again further along onto the road towards Mirkens Farm.

Just before Mirkens Farm the route turns right of the road and heads SE across fields towards Ham Green where you pick up the green waymarkers to head S to Staverton crossing first the B3107 then join the B3105 at traffic lights.

Take care here - you turn left to cross the River Avon, follow the pavement up past The Bear, cross the bridge over the railway line then turn immediately right down School Lane. 

The route now wiggles through the housing estate eventually crossing a footbridge over a stream and across a field to join the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath..

Turn right to follow the canal for about 800m. Join Spoke 3 down the steps and  follow the trail through Widbrook Woods, across the fields with the River Avon on your right and back to the end of Spoke 3 where it joins the Inner Circle.
