Spokes 4 & 5

5.5 miles + 1.2 miles to start and finish at Explore BoA (Tourist Information).

This walk follows spokes 4 and 5 of the Bradford on Avon Walking Wheel, linked by the outer circle. The spokes are waymarked with blue roundels and the outer circle green. Follow in a clockwise direction.

Start by following the blue roundels at the junction of Moulton Drive and Rowden Lane next to Sainsburys supermarket.

Follow Rowden Lane SE along an old track which becomes a footpath. After about 500m pass under a power line then join the Outer Circle to now follow the green waymarkers.

At the end of the lane turn right to join the road where you turn left up the hill for about 250m. Opposite the electricity sub station turn off right into a field then cross several more fields to cross the A366 towards Wingfield.

At Church Farm turn right onto the lane which you follow round to the B3109 opposite The Poplars pub. Cross over and turn left onto a track which crosses a small field to Pomeroy Lane cross over and pass to the right of Belle Coeur Farm crossing several fields to arrive at Stowford.

Take care here - turn left onto the A366 for s short distance then cross to take the footpath straight ahead. This crosses several fields to arrive at Westwood directly opposite the church and Westwood Manor (NT).

Turn right to pick up the blue roundels of Spoke 5. Go straight over at the crossroads opposite the New Inn, along the short track then into fields to go half right to cross several fields. After the last field you join the road to turn right downhill as far as Southleigh to finish at the junction with the Inner Circle.
