Swing Bridge & Back

Start outside Explore BoA (Tourist Information) near the Town Bridge.

With your back to Explore BoA turn right to the road then turn right again into St Margaret's car park. Cross diagonally left in front of Timbrell's Yard to join the river path.

Follow this path to pass under the railway bridge and keep straight ahead to reach an open grassy area then the tarmac access road. Turn right onto the road and follow it for about 600m. Ascend the slope to join the canal path at the swing bridge and turn sharp left to head back towards town alongside the canal.

Pass the back of the Tithe Barn and after about 250 metres turn left alongside By The Way gift shop down a short track. Turn left at the end, onto the Frome Road and after about 150m, at the mini roundabout, turn left again to go down Pound Lane. For wheelchair users, at this point you would be advised to follow the Frome Road straight back to Explore BoA.

At the bend at the bottom of Pound Lane turn off right into the Culver Close playing field, turn left to pass in front of the stone building and follow the path past the Bowls Club. Turn right to pass under the railway bridge and follow the path alongside the river back to St Margarets car park and Explore BoA.
