Cost: £8 includes transport & Prosecco

Start Time: 17.00
Distance: 3 miles
Duration: 3 ½ hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Places: 15
Start Point: Explore BoA, Westbury Gardens BA15 1DE

Description: This is a short, circular walk, with a steep climb, taking us up and down Solsbury Hill, the site of an iron age hill fort which features in Peter Gabriel’s much-loved song. The minibus will drop us in Northend, Batheaston. A demanding climb through fields and woods takes us to the top and breath-taking 360° views down the Avon Valley and across Bath. We will enjoy a glass of Prosecco before taking the shorter route back down to the minibus. A torch for the descent might be useful
Grading Moderate a half day walk, up to about 7 miles, there will be stiles & steps to negotiate, some steeper gradients, a faster pace than an easy walk.
