From St Aldhelm to the present day this stroll around the town brings to life some of the people who have influenced the development of BoA. Ideal for visitors to the town, newcomers to BoA as well as current residents who wish to learn more about our lovely town.

Start Point: War Memorial, Westbury Gardens, BA15 1DE, by the Town BridgeDistance: 2 miles

Duration: 2 hours

Places: 15

Grading: EASY - mainly level, comfortable pace, no stiles. Stopping regularly as it’s a guided tour.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the stated start time, to allow for registration and briefing.

For longer walks, bring a picnic lunch, plus snacks and plenty of water.

Walk duration times are a guide and the actual walks may be slightly shorter or longer than advertised.

Every effort has been made to ensure that the information about each walk is correct and we reserve the right to make changes or cancel walks should unforeseen circumstances arise.

Please make sure you have the ability and stamina to complete a walk based on the information we provide.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear

Walk leaders are in charge at all times. Their decision on participation is final.

Vulnerable people and U18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We have an ‘assistance dogs only’ policy, so please do not bring your dog.

Should you wish to leave a walk the leader or backmarker should be informed; once you have left you will be responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.

Please bear in mind that you are responsible for your own personal safety (or must be accompanied by an adult who is). Our leaders will have risk assessed every walk and at the start of the walk will make you aware of any potential hazards. Please follow any instructions you are given.

Whilst we endeavour to make all our walks as safe and as enjoyable as possible, you participate at your own risk.
