SA2: EAST and WEST OF CORSHAM

Please note the starting point in Corsham and arrive at least 10 minutes before the stated start time, to allow for registration and briefing. There is car parking at the Campus.

Please bring a picnic lunch, plus snacks and plenty of water for the other refreshment stops. If the weather is particularly warm, as it can be this time of year, we recommend bringing at least 2 litres of water.
We are delighted that Corsham Walkers are Welcome are, once again, supporting our annual Walking Festival. This year they are offering this ‘figure of 8’ walk that explores rural and urban Corsham, highlighting the best bits of the town and surrounding area.
Leaving the Community Campus, we’ll head West out of Corsham to pass Middlewick House and along the Turnpike with views over to Hartham House and The Larches.
We head back into Corsham to pass the hidden entrances to the WWII Corsham Ammunition Depot, the Eastern Portal of Box Tunnel, Pockeredge Lakes and Lane.
After lunch, we explore to the East of Corsham. Crossing through Corsham Park with views out to Cherhill Down and returning via Westrop, Corsham Park, The Batters and the Almshouses back to the start.
