Description: This easy and fascinating walk and talk, on offer here for the very first time, takes you to the sites of the many major flood events which have impacted the town since the early 1800s. Why does this happen? 200 years of history and geography will be brought to life with old photographs, maps and anecdotes.
Grading Easy: mainly level route, a comfortable pace, no stiles to negotiate , up to about 3 miles. Regular short stops are included.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the stated start time, to allow for registration and briefing.
For longer walks, bring a picnic lunch, plus snacks and plenty of water.
Walk duration times are a guide and the actual walks may be a slightly shorter or longer than advertised.
Please make sure you have the ability and stamina to complete a walk based on the information we provide.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear
Walk leaders are in charge at all times. Their decision on participation is final.
Vulnerable people and U16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We have an ‘assistance dogs only’ policy, so do not bring your dog.
