Tuesday 27th January monthly walk

Leaving promptly at 09.30 from outside Tourist Information in the centre of town.

Leader: Jonathan Brown, 6 miles, 3 hours

Jonathan’s walk takes us out to Westwood and Freshford then back via Avoncliff; there’s just the one stile to negotiate.

The route starts through the Country Park, where we’ll take a short detour for a new year surprise.

A gentle climb takes us up through Becky Addy Woods and into Upper Westwood where we follow the lane past the plant nursery. We then drop down to Freshford behind the cottages on Staples Hill, with lovely views across the valley to Friary.

Once in Freshford we cross several fields to follow the rivers Frome and Avon back to Avoncliff then it’s mainly road walking back to BoA.
