£3.00
SOLD OUT

Adult £3 - 7.5 miles

Please bring a picnic lunch and plenty of water.

Please note the start time is the time we leave so please arrive 10 minutes beforehand to allow for registration and briefing.

Also, we have a ‘no dogs except assistance dogs’ policy for all our walks.

The walk climbs out north through Woolley and Woolley Green to Bradford Leigh. Just before Merkins Farm we turn right & the scenery immediately changes, with panoramic views stretching from Roundway Down along the Salisbury Plain escarpment and westwards towards King Alfred's Tower.

In the foreground Holt's glove factory chimney stands out. On entering the village Helen will provide a history of the industry, focusing on the manufacture of gloves.

If the weather is fine, picnic lunches will be taken around the village pond. The route back to Bradford goes via Staverton picking up the canal towpath before dipping down to the idyllic paths adjacent to the river Avon.
