FR1: FROM CORSHAM TO BoA

£5.00
SOLD OUT

Adult £5.00 - 11 miles

Please bring picnic lunch plus snacks and plenty of drink for the other refreshment stops.

We will travel from BoA to Corsham by minibus, this is included in the price.

Please note the start time is the time we leave so please arrive 10 minutes beforehand for registration & briefing.

Also, we have a ‘no dogs except assistance dogs’ policy for all our walks.

This is an undulating, linear, all day walk at a moderate pace in the Wiltshire Cotswolds. There is one steep but short climb, some stiles and stretches of
fairly uneven ground.

It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a big slice of countryside that few tourists get to experience, as we shall use local knowledge to explain and thread our way across a beautiful landscape as we gradually descend from the heights of Corsham back to Bradford on Avon.

Once we’re out of Corsham we will enjoy peaceful walking through woods, fields and villages, taking in long views to the West across the Bybrook Valley. There will be more views during our lunch stop across the wide Trowbridge Vale across to the Marlborough Downs and round to Salisbury Plain.

We’ll be passing former secret, military sites and see much evidence in fine buildings of the wealth that mining and sheep brought to the area from Medieval times.
