This circular walk sets out southwest from the town, passing the Tithe Barn, before heading up Jones Hill out of the Avon Valley and across the fields towards Farleigh Hungerford. Turning northwest we’ll pass Farleigh Castle (English Heritage) and follow the meandering River Frome. We continue west, passing Pipehouse, as we head to Midford for lunch at the Hope and Anchor Inn (pay for your own food & drink).
After lunch we make our way back to Bradford on Avon via Monkton Combe, Dundas aqueduct, the village of Conkwell and the fields to the north and west of town.
There are stiles and a couple of steep climbs so walking poles would be advisable.
